About us

Born in Galicia, right on the Camino

Camigo is a project based in A Coruña, driven by a team that has spent almost two decades working with young people, European volunteering and rural development in Galicia.

Every year we see hundreds of thousands of pilgrims pass through our land. Many arrive without speaking the language or knowing the area, and with the same questions in every hostel: “How do I get there tomorrow?”, “Is there a bus from here?”, “How do I get back to my car?”.

Camigo was created to answer those questions with tools we already use in cities: open timetables, real-time information and communities that share. We want to bring them to the towns and villages of the Camino, where they are needed most.

What drives us

  • That nobody gives up the Camino because they do not know how to get around.
  • That rural Galicia gains visibility and services thanks to pilgrims.
  • That public transport information is easy for anyone to use, whatever language they speak.
  • That sharing a ride feels as natural as sharing a table in a hostel.
